kristin levy (Owner/Instructor)

During high school and college, I played water polo and was on the swim team. Since I have a passion for the water and for teaching children, I started giving swimming lessons to kids as a part time job. Due to my unique teaching methods and my innate ability to work with children, I developed a large private client base throughout Southern California. Eventually my part time job developed into a full time business. I have taught hundreds of children how to swim. I developed the Aqua Buddies concept as a way to satisfy the overwhelming need for quality swim instruction.

Jennie Lee SANDERS

I have been working with children for over 14 years and I am excited to continue working with children of all ages. My love for the water comes from joining the swim and water polo team in high school and throughout college. I have been a lifeguard and taught children of all ages how to swim at La Canada Country and the Glendale YMCA. I think the best and most rewarding part of my job is when I know I taught someone something new that they could not do before!

Alli Hartmann

I was a competitive swimmer from ages 7-17, as well as a lifeguard for 6 years after. The pool has always been a second home to me, and I love teaching kids to feel the same way. It’s been a blast seeing kids learn to swim in pools in their own backyards, as I’m originally from WI where that would most definitely not be feasible. Working with aquabuddies has been excellent, and I’m excited to start another season!

Hi! My name is Kyle and I have been swimming as far back as I can remember with my mom in parent and me classes. In middle school I joined a swim team to try it out and did very well so I kept swimming all through middle school. In high school I stayed on the swim team and also joined the water polo team.  I became team captain short after and lead an almost undefeated season. I stopped swimming competitively when I started Otis College of Art & Design to focus more on my Illustration skills. During my Junior year at Otis I decided to get back in the water as an instructor to give back the joy I felt when I was in my swim classes and races. I have been instructing ever since.

Hi! My name is Emily. I have been swimming competitively since I was 5 and participated on both the swim and water polo teams in high school. I love being around the water and working with children, especially when it comes to water safety. I am excited to be back in the water this summer.

Growing up in Northern California my favorite memories were swimming the endless lakes and rivers. During high school I turned that into a job by lifeguarding, teaching lessons and helping manage our city pool. My small town family provided amazing experiences in coaching and officiating multiple youth leagues, organizing summer camps, and even conducting a beginning band for a year. My love for learning and teaching has always been a large part of who I am. I have taught a wide range of ages and skill levels, and yet there’s nothing I love more than seeing a new swimmer feel safe enough to enjoy everything the water has to offer!
